Acara British Academy of Film Awards (BAFTA) 2022 digelar di
Royal Albert Hall, London, Inggris, pada Minggu, 13 Maret 2022 waktu setempat. Dalam
ajang tersebut, film The Power of Dog terpilih menjadi film terbaik. Bintang
utamanya, Benedict Cumberbatch turut hadir dalam ajang tersebut meski gagal
memenangkan penghargaan.
Benedict Cumberbatch Hadir dan Dukung Ukraina
Benedict Cumberbatch menggunakan pin bendera Ukraina sebagai
bentuk dukungan pada negara tersebut saat hadir di BAFTA 2022. Ia hadir ke
acara tersebut bersama sang istri, Sophie Hunter. Ia berharap dapat turut
berpartisipasi dalam mendukung Ukraina dengan menggalang donasi.
“Beberapa orang berinisiatif menjadi relawan dan menampung
pengungsi di rumah mereka, aku berharap bisa ikut ambil bagian,” ungkapnya
dilansir dari Daily Mail pada Senin, 14 Maret 2022.
Pada BAFTA 2022 Benedict Cumberbatch gagal memenangkan kategori
Leading Actor yang dimenangkan oleh Will Smith dalam film King Richard.
